After spotting a post on the php.ie mailing list I’ve spotted an interesting site co-ordinating coworking initiatives. Run by Jason Roe, coworking.ie is a resource for those interested in sharing office space for coworking.
There’s currently space in South William St being offered by Eamon Leonard of EchoLibre as well as future plans to set up a Hub in Dublin.
UPDATE: Met Eamon and had a look at the space on offer. It’s small but nicely central and looks like we could have a good thing going on here. I’d like to get another person into the mix to add to the diversity. If anyone is interested feel free to drop me a line

Hi Patrick
Really interested in this coworking thing you guys have going. I’m a freelance graphic designer, looking for alternatives to working mostly from home alone. Spoke briefly with Eamon and I understand all spaces in S.W.St are full at the mo.
Please keep me in mind though if one becomes available at any stage.
Thanks
Sharon

What with ground rent being so reasonable these days you could always set up your own co-working space.
Also, I’m working with some people to set up a Hub ( http://the-hub.net/ ) in Dublin, you might be interested in joining there. Its gonna be a while before we get set up though.
If I hear anything in the meantime I’ll let you know. You also could try posting on http://coworking.ie to see if anyone else might be interested.
